Toby is Turning ONE...Let's party!

Toby is turning ONE....Already?? I can't believe it. But that will be another post. Right now I am in the obsessive party planning mode.

So the time has come to start planning Toby's birthday party. This year I am doing something a little different. Planning. Yup, simple as that Planning in Advance I should say. I usually do the last minute thing and end up getting something super lame at that Party Supply Store, whatever it's called. But not this year.

I think it's because with Valencia, by the time she turned one, she had already experienced so much. She had taken swim lessons, she had taken a music class, she had weekly play dates and loads of friends. But I feel like Toby has been left in the dust. Life has gotten so busy - lame excuse but it's true. With your first everything is focused on them - they are the first everything. Once you roll with #2 it just changes. Now it's Toby's time, she's getting a FUN party. The funny thing is she will have no idea what's going on and she won't remember a thing. But hey it will make me feel better and at least there will be memorable pictures for her to look back at one day.

My baby is turning ONE...I am sappy mushy mess....

We had an amazing Passover Seder; full of family, kids running around, laughter, friends and unbelievable food! My pictures are mostly of my kids & nephew/niece - I just can't help catching these memorable moments of them!

In my utopia suffering wouldn't be an option~!

This is why I am so passionate about the New Health Care Reform Bill.

THANK G-D THERE IS CHANGE!  Someone is looking out for our children and are well being!

What would happen to you and your kids if you or your spouse lost their job and lost their health care and couldn't afford it?

If you have young kids you know how many things can happen to them in these intense changing and growing years of their lives. And how sad is it for those that don't have health care right now and can't even take their children for their well visits. Our health, unfortunately by nature, can change in a blink of an eye. Accidents, cancer, sickness, disease can strike at any moment and if you don't have health care most likely you can't afford any treatments.

I know there are many sides to this controversial Bill but I am so glad I elected Mr. Barack Obama as President!

Where the hell have you been?

I know - I know I have been gone for way too long! Every night I have thought about writing but that happens usually late at night when I know I have to go to bed~! So finally I have put all other duties, plans, promises and making lunches aside to just reconnect with Roots and Sol. So much has happened since our trip to Uruguay. We have taken family weekend trips (with Peter, we won't be traveling without him anymore)... here are a few visuals of our last couple of months. We've also had a lot of colds in between our fun chaos.

Peter and Valencia went to go see the Globetrotters. Looks more like they went to go see a Rollings Stone concert but this was a great picture moment. Valencia was very curious why the baller named "Curly" was bald....

We took a family weekend trip to Santa Monica - it was a BLAST. The highlights....our hotel room at the Georgian, the weather, seeing our good friends Taura and her fiance Scott, having drinks at The Huntley Hotel while the girls were asleep in the stroller/Kelty, the best farmers market ever in Venice, getting spoiled by Peter on Valentines day, and just making fun memories the four of us. Here are bits and pieces from our trip.

Here's a pic of Toby and Peter at the pier

Peter and the girls watching a street performer at the Promenade - this is one of my favorite pictures

On one of our few rainy days in San Diego we decided to take Valencia ice skating for the first time. Check out her face in this picture...not sure she liked it at first...but by the end she was slowly trying it on her own, not even holding on tight to the wall.

And our latest and greatest trip with the Williams from Bozeman, Montana....The Happiest Place on Earth....DISNEYLAND!!!

Valencia & Lexi Williams
Valencia couldn't believe Mickey was standing right in front of her eyes...she was star-struck

It was a HOT HOT day...

I hope to keep this up and I will try my hardest to make that happen!
